Tina Parker is the author of the poetry collections Lock Her Up, Mother May I, and Another Offering. Tina grew up in Bristol, Virginia. She is a long-time Kentucky resident and advocates for poetry across the state: she is the former President of the Kentucky State Poetry Society and a juried member of the Women of Appalachia Project. Jenny Recktenwald

A native of Louisville, Kentucky, Jenny Recktenwald draws on her hometown and its inhabitants as inspiration for her works of fiction.

She earned a Master of Arts in English from the University of Louisville and has honed her craft with support from authors including Paul Griner, Sena Jeter Naslund, and Dana Cann.

She served as editor of Voices from Historical African American Communities near Louisville, Kentucky (2015) by Carrider M. Jones, and is a recipient of an Artist Enrichment Grant from the Kentucky Foundation for Women.

Recktenwald makes her living as a communications and marketing professional, specializing in organizational change and crisis management. She co-founded and served as Interim Director of OneWest, a community development corporation focused on economic revitalization in west Louisville.

She lives in Louisville with her family and enjoys being outside, losing herself in a great book, and traveling to new places.
