Writer's Block and InKY Reading Series

The Writer’s Block Festival and InKY Reading Series, Sponsored by Louisville Literary Arts (LLA) (As published in the Courier-Journal) The Writer’s Block Festival, an annual celebration of literature and writing, will take place in Louisville on November 14 and 15. Highlights of the festival include a keynote address by poet, memoirist and filmmaker Nick Flynn; panels on Food Writing, Writing the Truth, Humor, and Drama, featuring Edward Lee, Adam Sachs, Patrick Wensick and playwrights from the Slant Culture Festival; and workshops featuring Jacinda Townsend, Brian Leung, Dave Baker and Ada Limon. The festival is free and open to the public (except for craft workshops, which are available for a small fee). The InKY Reading Series runs monthly from September through May of each year. The coming year’s lineup includes: Tyrone Williams, Allison Lynn, Leigh Anne Hornfeldt, Lisa Williams and Seth Johnson. The mission of LLA is to engage readers and writers in order to enrich the literary arts.
