Olivia Cole is an author and blogger from Louisville, Kentucky. She spent eight years in Chicago and two in South Florida before finding her way home. She is the author of Panther In The Hive and its sequel, The Rooster’s Garden, as well as her latest young adult novel, A Conspiracy of Stars and its sequel An Anatomy of Beasts. She is on the Creative Writing faculty at the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts and is the founder of the sci-fi art show for young Kentucky women, KINDRED: MAKING SPACE IN SPACE.

Angela Mitchell’s stories have appeared in Colorado Review, New South, Carve, Midwestern Gothic, storySouth and other journals. Her story, “Animal Lovers,” was awarded Colorado Review’s Nelligan Prize for Short Fiction and given special mention in The Pushcart Prize XXXV; her flash fiction was recently selected for inclusion in The Best Small Fictions 2018 (Braddock Avenue Books). Mitchell is a former Tennessee Williams Scholar at the Sewanee Writers’ Conference. She currently directs a community writing workshop and serves as an editor for december magazine. An eighth generation native of the Ozarks of southern Missouri, she now lives in St. Louis with her husband and sons. Unnatural Habitats & Other Stories is her first book.

The Kentucky Arts Council, the state arts agency, supports Louisville Literary Arts with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.
