Jeremy Paden was born in Milan, Italy and raised in the Southern US, Central America and the Caribbean, he is Professor of Spanish at Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky. He is also a poet and literary translator. His articles and essays have appeared in various journals, among others: Colonial Latin American Review, Caliope: Journal for the Society of Renaissance and Baroque Hispanic Poetry y Romance Quarterly. His the author of various books of poetry in English and Spanish and has translated poets from Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Mexico, Peru, Spain, and the United States. His two most recent books are world as sacred burning heart (3: A Taos Press), a collection of poems about the Spanish colonization of the Américas in the 16th century and Self-Portrait as an Iguana (Valparaíso USA), a collection of Spanish language poetry he translated into English. It co-won the first Premio Poeta en Nueva York. The North American Academy of the Spanish Language awarded his bilingual, illustrated children's book Under the ocelot sun with a Campoy-Ada Prize.

Charliese Brown Lewis
Charliese Brown Lewis is an educator, author, editor, podcaster, and radio show host who provides platforms for others to use their voices to be genuine, empowered, and courageous.
Charliese holds degrees in Education/English, Journalism, and Higher Education. In her 25-year career, she has served as an adjunct professor of English, Journalism, College Reading and Writing, Professional Business Writing, Speech Communication, and Freshman Seminar.
Currently, Charliese works as a Family and Community Engagement Liaison for Fayette County Public Schools and as the Executive Director of the non-profit Louisville Louisville Literary Arts, Inc. She is president of Robert and Charliese Lewis Ministries Inc., home of The ‘After Church’ Experience blog and radio show, which she co-founded with her husband. In 2018, the company published its first book, From the Test to the Testimony: An Anthology of Women's Faith Stories. She is also a feature writer for EnVision Magazine and The Lextropolis Magazine.
In 2022, Charliese was inducted into the Woodford County Public Schools Hall of Fame in Academics.
